Jim Chesnut
singer-songwriter
Billboard and Indie Chart Topper

Take a minute to contact some of your friends and neighbors and bring them along with you on September 21st.

We are always happy to have you. BGAS is family friendly. Our venue is one of the most comfortable around and performers love our appreciative audiences.

You can count on an evening well spent.

Jim Chesnut's "Rode Hard and Put Away Wet" has moved up to #4 on the Indie World Chart and is moving in on Garth Brooks' "All Day Long" in #1 place.

Two time nominee for Country Music Grammys

In the mid 1970's Jim Chesnut headed from his home in Midland, Texas to Nashville to seek fame and fortune as a singer and songwriter. He made quite an impression as he presented  songs he wrote to various agencies.

Within days Charley Pride recorded "Oklahoma Morning" and it became a hit. Charley included it in his television appearances and concerts.

Jim also found popularity as a singer. Within 3 years Jim had 13 songs land on Billboard Magazine's top 100 charts, 2 in the top 40.

Two of his songs, "Show Me a Sign" and "Get Back to Loving Me" were nominated for Grammys.

Jim found himself sharing the stage with Willie Nelson, Charley Pride, Rodney Crowell, Mickey Newbury, Tom T. Hall, Bobby Bare, Con Hunley, Don Williams, Moe Bandy, Eddie Raven, Dottie West, Reba McIntire and a  host of other country stars.

Today Jim is back in Texas enjoying life to it's fullest and entertaining folks on a more intimate level at a variety of venues including roadhouse restaurants, country stores, and house concerts.

He is booked solid around Texas, but we have been urging him to come to Colorado for quite some time (like about 4 years). Jim and his wife decided to vacation in Colorado in September and offered to drop by Buffalo Grass. We are very honored to have this outstanding singer/songwriter entertain at Buffalo Grass Country Concerts....
