Donations are tax deductible. We are a non-profit organization under IRS Rule 501c3.

Buffalo Grass Acoustic Society has served the folks of rural El Paso and Elbert counties with jams and concerts  for 17 years.

We are seeking a new location to host our concerts and jams.

For some time now, we have been accumulating various components to complete our own sound system. We already own much of the equipment needed for a complete sound system.

We have our own microphones, stands, cables, DI boxes and  a set of equalizers for four speakers.

The sound system items in the project list above will be needed to complete a system and make us self sufficient. All those items fit seamlessly with what we already own and meet our need to be portable.

As we look for a new location, we may find a facility and conditions that are perfect except for an inadequate or non-existant sound system. For example, a common issue when  using school auditoriums is many require that their sound system be manned by school staff or students.

To maintain our level of professionalism, we prefer to use our own staff with their experience. Our sound people have years of working together both at BGAS and the Black Rose Acoustic Society. Its a very smooth working team. We don't want our sound people sidelined.

This issue can be eliminated by providing our own quality sound system. The items in the project list are the remaining pieces needed for our own portable sound system.

We also need an enclosed trailer to store and haul everything needed to put on a concert in almost any facility including outdoor venues. This includes our sound system, stage lighting, a background banner, ticket seller supplies and snack bar supplies.

We do all this...  the jams and concerts... to provide opportunities for singer/songwriters to share their music with folks who enjoy traditional country and folk music. We are the only jam and concert organization serving rural families in the vast area encompassimg El Paso and southwestern Elbert counties.

Rest assured we plan to resume concerts as soon as practicable. We are using this downtime to investigate venue possibilities, vet more acts for future concerts and to remodel our website. We are also looking at ways to build our audience.
