The Deltaz
February 16th will rock at the Buffalo Grass Acoustic Society! The Deltaz from Southern California bring to our stage a wide spectrum of sounds from heavy blues to to classic country and folk.

Brothers John and Ted Siegel are the Deltaz.   They live in the hills of Mulholland Highway overlooking Los Angeles.  There they are regulars at  the nearby Southern California institution, The Old Place. Playing to this ever-packed restaurant in the mountains, they have caught the full attention of the Southern California music crowd.

The Deltaz were formed when  the brothers were still in high school.  John is a commanding drummer and Ted is one of the sharpest guitarists on the local scene.  John has expanded his role in the group over the years to include impressive harmonica and vocals. Reviewers say "the Deltaz blend voices as only brothers can."  "Their music blends a love of traditional American roots into a fresh and original sound with unique arrangements of great American rock 'n' roll Classics mixed in."

The Deltaz touring schedule takes them all over California, throughout the West, the Central and Mid  US and up the East Coast.  Their energetic stage presence and top notch performance skills make them a crowd pleaser wherever they go.  This will be an exciting show.

Join us for the Deltaz on February 16th.  We'll have a great time. Show starts at 7:00 pm.

Award winning country music singer/songwriter Rich Owen is a former US Air Force Officer currently living in the Colorado Springs, Colorado, area. He is married and has four children. Rich has been singing all his life, and has performed for audiences large and small. His on-stage performances are known for the passion and energy with which he delivers every song.
It was only a five short years ago that Rich picked up a guitar and taught himself to play. After only a couple months, he was inspired to write his first song, a love song for his wife. He found he not only enjoyed the challenge of writing music, but had a talent for it. Since then, he has been steadily adding new songs to his collection. Rich takes special satisfaction in writing songs that support and honor our brave men and woman in uniform.

Rich music has been featured on Internet and radio stations in the United States, Great Britain, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and the Netherlands, among others. He is a proud member of ASCAP, the Colorado Country Music Association (CCMA), and the North American Country Music Association, International (NACMAI). His awards and nominations include:

Spencer Wren, Acoustic Guitar, Vocals
Steve McCauley, Dobro
Joy Maples, Upright Bass, Vocals

Spencer Wren (guitar) is the guilty party in putting Manitou Strings together. He and Steve McCauley (dobro) met at a gig. Spencer was playing and Steve was in the audience. Joy (upright bass) lives right down the street from Spencer and they have played at jams together over the years.

Spencer plays a custom acoustic guitar from a builder in Hawaii.

Steve leans heavily on Uncle Josh for inspiration.

Joy favors bluegrass music, which she learned about through her husband, Dalton, who is from a tiny town in Kentucky, just minutes away from Rosine, where Bill Monroe's family lived.

Spencer favors the Grateful Dead, so Steve and Joy try and steer his song choices to more traditional stuff, but they still get a little wild with covers of Bob Dylan, Hank Thompson, Bill Browning, Peter Rowan, and yes, one Grateful Dead tune.
